The Solwaris economy

This page says where every cent goes. What a staked match costs, what the winner takes, what we keep, what cuts our share and what cannot be bought. The numbers below are the ones in the code, not an intention: the guide is checked by a test bench that compares them with the game’s values on every change.

In short

Staked matches

A stake server matches two players who picked the same amount. Both stakes go to an address dedicated to that match, derived for it alone: they never enter a common pool, and nobody — us included — can move them anywhere but to the winner.

At the end, the pot goes back out in a single transaction: the winner’s share, our fee, and where applicable the referrer’s share. A drawn match gives each player their stake back.

Won, a staked match also gives a chance at a Legendary Crystal, higher than in a free duel and rising with the stake and the league; a defeat gives nothing.

What you sign, and nothing else

Solwaris never holds your funds. You sign a capped spending approval (an SPL delegation on Solana) for the exact amount of your stake, at the time of your first stake: 1, 5 or 10 USDC, not a cent more. To play on without signing again, you can choose a higher cap yourself in the wallet panel, from 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 USDC.

That approval is revocable at any time from your wallet, and Solana refuses any debit without the owner’s signature. No charge is taken without a match you started yourself.

One exception, announced as such: the entries for the weekly boss stay on a Solana address specific to that week, public and viewable, until the prize pool is paid out at the end of the week.

One player, one account

A staked match only makes sense between two different people. Two accounts held by the same player would fight each other to move money, pump a leaderboard or claw back a fee through referrals: so the game makes sure each player has only one account that stakes.

Two brothers under the same roof, a family computer, a shared connection: these cases exist, and a block can be lifted. Write to us on Discord; an unblocked account stakes normally again. Everything else — repeated duels between the same accounts, transfers between their wallets, play habits — is never sanctioned automatically: a human looks before deciding.

To do this, the game keeps, for wallet accounts only, the connection IP addresses and a browser identifier (a cookie, sw_app) for at most one year, and connection times for 90 days. This data is used only to fight fraud and is never shown or shared.

The fee, and where it goes

The base fee is 25% of the stake. Put another way: on a pot of two stakes we take 12.5%, and the winner walks away with 87.5% of the pot.

1 USDC2 USDC0,251.75 USDC
5 USDC10 USDC1,258.75 USDC
10 USDC20 USDC2,5017.50 USDC

Rounding always goes down on the fee: when a split falls between two hundredths, the extra hundredth goes to the player, never to us.

The referrer’s share is taken out of that fee, and only out of it. It is not added to it: a referred player gets exactly the same as a player with no referrer.

The bonuses: what cuts our share

Every equipped item — a skin, a weapon, an aura — reduces the fee taken from your winnings. All three stack, up to 15 points at most: the fee then drops from 25% to 10% of the stake, and the winner of a 10 USDC duel receives 19 USDC instead of 17.50.

Let us be blunt

A skin improves your winnings. Not your power: it changes neither damage, nor ranges, nor action points, nor anything that decides a fight. Two identical players, one in legendary and the other bare, have exactly the same chances of winning — the first will just keep a slightly bigger share of what they win.

No skin is sold directly: they are all won by opening crystals. Their contents and odds are detailed on the Loot page.

Referrals

Every player has a code, in the Wallet tab of their account page. The referrer takes 5% of what their referee wins — that is, of the stake they take from their opponent — and that share is taken out of our fee, paid in the same transaction as the winner’s winnings.

A referee who loses brings in nothing: they won nothing. A referral is permanent and is set once, within 48 hours of creating the account; after that, a referrer can no longer be entered.

You cannot refer yourself — not from a second profile, nor from the same network address or the same browser. The share is never paid to a player in the match — a loser does not get back part of their loss because they referred their opponent.

The Battle Pass

The pass has 50 tiers, which climb as you play — it is the XP from your matches and from daily quests that unlocks them, nothing is bought tier by tier. The free track hands out some of them; the premium track, at 20 USDC, opens the rest and, retroactively, every tier already reached.

What you find there: crystals — Common Crystals and two Legendary Crystals on the free track, a crystal at every tier on the premium track, including 14 Legendary Crystals — and coins. The premium track also gives the Crystal collection: a weapon and a skin per class, and the Amethyst aura, which are not sold and come out of no crystal. The tier-by-tier breakdown is on the Loot page.

The XP and coins from a match

Every online match pays XP, which raises your level and the pass, and coins, the currency for the Common Crystal and the initiative bid. Coins, like all loot, only go to accounts: a guest earns the XP, not the coins (see guest or account).

The initiative bid

Before the first turn, the draw picks one player. The other has 5 seconds to buy the first turn back from them, in steps of 100 coins. Either player can raise while the clock runs.

When nobody follows any more, the last bidder starts — and they alone pay, the price reached. Whoever dropped out pays nothing. In training against an AI there is no bid: the draw decides, for free.

It is spent in coins, never in USDC: the initiative cannot be bought with real money.

What Solwaris does not do

Frequently asked questions

How much does Solwaris take from my winnings?

25% of the stake, i.e. 12.5% of the pot. On a 10 USDC duel, you receive 17.50 out of 20. Equipped skins bring that share down to 10% of the stake, i.e. 19 USDC on the same duel.

Do you have to deposit money to play Solwaris?

No. The full game — the six classes, the ranked leagues, training, spectator mode — plays with no wallet and without a cent. For staked matches, your USDC stays in your wallet: you sign a capped spending approval, revocable at any time, and nothing is debited without a match you started yourself.

Does paying give an advantage in combat?

No. No skin changes damage, ranges, action points or anything that decides a fight. What they change is the fee taken from your winnings: from 25% down to 10% of the stake at best. Paying improves what you keep, not your chances of winning.

How does the initiative bid work?

The draw picks one player, the other has 5 seconds to buy the first turn back from them in steps of 100 coins. The last bidder starts and alone pays the price reached; whoever drops out pays nothing. This is settled in coins earned by playing, never in USDC.

What does the Battle Pass pay?

Fifty tiers of crystals and coins, unlocked by the XP from your matches. The premium track costs 20 USDC and gives a crystal at every tier, including the ones already reached — 14 of them Legendary Crystals — and the 13 items of the Crystal collection, available nowhere else. The skins you get from it give no advantage in combat.

What does a referrer get on Solwaris?

5% of what their referee wins, taken out of our fee and not added on top. The referee gets exactly the same as a player with no referrer, and a referee who loses brings in nothing.
