Solwaris guide

Solwaris is a turn-based 1v1 tactical duel, playable in the browser. Two fighters, a gridded arena, action points and movement points: everything hangs on placement, line of sight and the order in which you spend your AP.

In short

This guide says what the game actually does. Its numbers — AP costs, ranges, cooldowns, health, drop rates, rewards, durations — are re-read automatically from the game code on every change, in all five languages: if they move after a rebalance, these pages are flagged as wrong before they are published.

The guide at a glance

The guide is organised like the menu: getting started (the rules), the six classes, the bosses, then rewards (loot, daily quests, the economy) and Waris (the token, staking, the wallet, the public vault and frequently asked questions). If you have never played a turn-based tactics game of this kind, start with the rules.

The six classes

Each class has a passive that is not a plain numeric bonus but a rule in its own right, and eight spells. Each spell and the passive have a variant: before the match, you choose one version per slot. There is no gear and there are no stats to raise, and your account level changes nothing in a match: two players who pick the same class start with exactly the same tools.

The bosses

The PvE selector, above the Play button, starts the fight against the current boss, solo, in pairs or in threes: in Waris or in USDC, each with its own weekly leaderboard and prize pool. The boss changes according to a calendar, every Sunday at noon, Paris time (on Monday at midnight until 26 October 2026): the Archmage until Sunday 4 October 2026, the Forgemaster and the Sentinel from Monday 5 October, the Matriarch from Monday 12 to Sunday 18 October, the Goleling King, the game’s first boss, back from Monday 19 to Sunday 25 October, the Jelly from Monday 26 October to Sunday 1 November, then the Alpaca King from Sunday 1 November.

Advanced mechanics

Every class hides combos that its spells, read one by one, don’t let you guess. These sections show them step by step, in images taken from the game: every combo is played and checked by the game engine itself.

Where to start as a beginner

The six classes do not ask the same effort. The Brute and the Warrior forgive mistakes: plenty of health, spells that do what they say, and a simple plan — get into melee and stay there. The Arcanist teaches the game’s second lesson, the one about distance: their damage rises with the gap, and they die fast if they get caught.

The Shade, the Clockmaker and the Artificer are played by preparing the next turn. You place something that pays nothing right away — a trap, an Automaton, a charge — to collect two turns later. They reward the player who counts their AP ahead, and punish the one who improvises.

Two habits that change everything

Count your AP before you move. AP and MP do not carry over from one turn to the next: whatever you do not spend is lost. A successful turn is one where nothing is left, or just what is needed for an escape spell.

Watch where you end your turn. Almost every defeat comes from a badly chosen tile: out in the open facing an Arcanist, next to a Brute, lined up with two Artificer charges, or within reach of an invisible trap. The last move of the turn often counts for more than the last spell.

Frequently asked questions

Is Solwaris free?

Yes. The full game opens in the browser, with no install, and all six classes are playable from the start. The account is free: it is created by connecting a wallet, and a new account receives 100 Waris for its first tables. Ranked duels and the Waris boss are played with Waris, which are earned by playing; training against the AI costs nothing. USDC fights are optional. Skins are won by opening crystals, which the game hands out as you play.

How do you earn money on Solwaris?

By winning USDC staked duels: both players stake the same amount and the winner takes the pot minus a 12.5% fee. The stakes on offer are 1, 5 or 10 USDC — on a 10 USDC duel the pot is worth 20 USDC and the winner gets 17.50. By placing among the best in the USDC weekly boss, whose prize pool is shared at the end of the week. And sometimes by opening a Legendary Crystal. Referring a player also pays 5% of what they win in duels, taken from the fee and never from their winnings. Waris are earned the same way in the game, but cannot be traded yet.

Is Solwaris really a Play to Earn game?

Yes: you earn money by playing — by winning staked duels, by placing among the best in the weekly boss — and, more rarely, by opening a Legendary Crystal, which can contain USDC. Those winnings settle in USDC on the Solana blockchain. There is no betting on other people’s matches, and the odds of every crystal are published. Waris staking shares a capped weekly budget among active players who staked some, with no promised yield. No token has to be bought to play, and nothing you own changes a fight.

Do you need to buy a token or an NFT to play Solwaris?

No. The full game — the six classes, the ranked leagues, training against the artificial intelligence — is free. Solwaris has no NFT; its token, Waris, is earned by playing and is not something you buy to get started. A Solana wallet is used to create your account, for free, and for USDC fights.

What fee does Solwaris take on winnings?

12.5% of the pot, that is to say a quarter of the stake won from your opponent. On a 10 USDC duel the pot is worth 20 USDC: the winner gets 17.50 and the fee is 2.50. Equipped skins — appearance, weapon, aura — reduce that fee; they change neither the damage, nor the ranges, nor any other rule of the game.

Do you need an account to play Solwaris?

Yes, and it is free: connect a Solana wallet. You sign a simple message — no transaction, no access to your funds, no email and no password — and a new account receives 10 Common Crystals and 100 Waris. If you already played without an account, connect your wallet in that browser: your progress joins your account.

Do you need to install anything to play Solwaris?

No. You need a recent browser with JavaScript and WebGL enabled. The first load downloads the arena’s 3D models; after that the game starts quickly.

Which class should you start with in Solwaris?

With the Brute or the Warrior: plenty of health, melee spells, little to anticipate. Save the Clockmaker and the Artificer for later, they are the two classes that need the most planning.

How long does a match last?

Each player has 40 seconds per turn, and there is no turn limit: a match is played until there is a winner. In practice, a duel takes a few minutes.

Can you play unranked?

Yes: training pits you against an artificial intelligence that changes style from one match to the next. It pays nothing: no experience, no Waris, and no effect on your league rating. The Play button, for its part, always looks for a player: the AI is only offered after 25 seconds without an opponent, and only if you accept.

Is there a PvE mode in Solwaris?

Yes: in the menu, the PvE selector starts the fight against the current boss, solo, in pairs or in threes, with an entry in Waris or in USDC; each version has its own weekly leaderboard and prize pool. The boss changes according to a calendar: the Goleling King, the game’s first boss, back from Monday 19 October 2026, after the Matriarch, the Forgemaster and the Sentinel, and the Archmage.

How do you get skins in Solwaris?

By opening crystals. Ranked wins, duels won against a player (a chance at a Legendary Crystal), achievements, the Battle Pass, daily quests, the daily gift and the weekly boss give them; the Common Crystal can also be bought with Waris earned by playing.

The game opens straight in the browser, with no download. A wallet is all you need to create your account, for free.
