Jean Phil, the October Event Skin: How to Find It, How to Play the Warrior
Until 31 October 2026, Solwaris has an event skin for the Warrior: Jean Phil, a weaponless boxer inspired by a meme. Here is what it changes, how it is found, what the event window shows, and what you need to play the Warrior well.

For October 2026, Solwaris has an event built around Jean Phil: a rare skin for the Warrior, a boxer in a tweed jacket, inspired by a meme. This article says everything the game says about it: what the skin changes, how it is found, and what the event window shows. And since a skin does not replace skill, the second half is about the Warrior.
What Jean Phil changes
A skin is a costume: it changes neither the spells nor the numbers of the Warrior. Jean Phil has two particularities.
- No weapon: equipped, he puts the weapon away and fights bare-handed.
- His own moves: jab, cross, hook, uppercut. The spells stay the same; only the gestures change.
Like any item, the skin carries a bonus: the game shows it as “+3% winnings”, with the explanation “equipped, this item cuts the fee on your winnings in stake matches”. It is a rule of staked matches, explained on the Economy page of the guide: the bonus only applies in staked matches, not in free duels or training.
How to find it
The rule fits in four lines, and it is the same for everyone:
- you have to win a ranked staked duel or 2 vs 2: only the winner draws;
- each win gives a 1% chance, whatever the stake;
- you need an account (a guest receives nothing);
- the period runs from 1 to 31 October 2026 (game time, UTC+2).
Nothing else counts: not a defeat, not a duel without a stake, not training, not a boss fight. Once you have the skin, there is no more draw. After the event it stays with those who have it, and it is not in crystals, the shop or the pass.
The badge and the event window
During the event, a badge appears on the menu scene, under the league banner: a crystal medallion with the reward’s bust, an “Event” ribbon and the time left (“18 d”, then “3 d 4 h”, then hours and minutes on the last day). A click opens the event window:
- the title “Jean Phil has landed”, the rarity, and a countdown in days, hours and minutes, with the end date (31/10);
- the reward in three bullets: no weapon, his own moves, his bonus;
- “How it works” in three steps: start a staked duel or 2 vs 2, win, and the chance of success;
- your status (“Not obtained yet”, “Obtained”, or an invitation to create an account) and the list of players who have already found it.
The badge disappears when the event ends. Once the reward is yours, it reads “Obtained”.
Playing the Warrior
Whether or not you wear him, Jean Phil does not play for you. The Warrior is a melee class that soaks up damage: 940 HP, 12 AP and 6 MP, and a Cuirass that cuts all damage taken by 16%. Nothing subtle, but it stands tall, as long as you know how to chain spells. The full profile is in the Warrior guide.

The spells that make his game
- Lunge (4 AP): a sweeping blow on the cell next to you and its two neighbours. Each blow that lands gives you 18 armour points for 2 turns.
- Warrior’s wrath (7 AP): 85 to 110 damage at melee range, with a 3-turn cooldown. Recast on the very turn it returns, it hits ×2, then up to ×3 at most if you chain it.
- Taunt (3 AP): in a straight line only, it pulls the enemy next to you and cuts its damage by 15% on its next turn.
- Warrior’s leap (4 AP): a jump of 2 to 5 cells onto a free cell, without MP.
- War cry (3 AP): +30% damage for this turn and the next.
- Bulwark (3 AP): 70 armour points and 30% resistance for 2 turns.
- Anchor (2 AP): nothing can move you until your next turn.
- War banner (4 AP): a 100 HP banner, +20% damage while it stands.
Three tips for playing him
- Close the distance with a plan. Taunt needs a straight line and Wrath needs contact: position first, cast second, and keep MP so you do not end your turn exposed.
- Recast Wrath on time. It comes back on the fourth turn: if the opponent is out of contact, cast it anyway into empty space, you keep the multiplier.
- Respect his weaknesses. Range (an Arcanist stepping back), MP removal (the Brute’s Roar) and the Shade’s invisible traps are what beat a Warrior. Anchor keeps you in place against the Clockmaker’s and Artificer’s pushes and pulls.
And the weekly boss?
The Warrior is also a good pick against the Matriarch, the boss that opens on Monday 12 October: Cuirass and Anchor serve well there. We go through her spells in our article on the Matriarch.
Key points
- Jean Phil is a rare Warrior skin: no weapon, his own moves, and a +3% bonus on the fee in staked matches.
- It is found from 1 to 31 October 2026, with a 1% chance per win in a ranked staked duel or 2 vs 2, with an account.
- It changes no spell: to play the Warrior well, it is the guide that matters, not the skin.

Frequently asked questions
How do you get the Jean Phil skin in Solwaris?
By winning a ranked staked duel or 2 vs 2, with an account, between 1 and 31 October 2026. Each win gives a 1% chance of receiving it, whatever the stake. A defeat, a duel without a stake, training and monster fights do not count.
What does the Jean Phil skin change?
Nothing about the Warrior’s spells or numbers. Equipped, it puts his weapon away: he fights bare-handed, with his own moves, jab, cross, hook and uppercut. Like any item of rare rarity, it cuts the fee on winnings in staked matches by 3%.
What happens to Jean Phil after 31 October?
There is no more draw, but the skin stays with those who obtained it. It is not in crystals, the pass or the shop.
Can a guest get Jean Phil?
No, you need an account, which is free. Once you have the skin, there is no more draw for you.
