The boss fight: the Goleling King
Solwaris PvE pits your hero against the Goleling King and his court, in the Throne Room. A king is nothing without his court: while any of his minions lives, he is untouchable. The whole game is about bringing down the court, then hitting the King during the two turns he is exposed.
In short
- Where — in the menu, the selector switches from PvP to PvE; the arrow next to the Play button opens two cards, the free King and the weekly boss, each solo, duo or trio.
- Weekly boss — the paid version: an entry of 0.50 USDC per player, a ranking of damage dealt to the King, and a prize pool shared among the top players at the end of the week.
- Protected — while a minion is alive, the King takes no damage.
- Vulnerable — once the last minion falls, the King is exposed for 2 turns, then calls back his court, bigger than before.
- Limit — after 50 turns, the King flies away and the fight ends: what counts is the damage dealt.
- Same rules — the King and his minions only fly visually: on the map, obstacles, traps and line of sight apply to them just as they do to you.
PvP or PvE: the menu selector
Above the Play button, a selector picks the mode. PvP opens matches against players: free duels, two versus two, stake matches and, outside the league, training against the AI. PvE opens fights against the Goleling King: free, solo, in pairs or in threes, or paid with the boss of the week.
The arrow next to the Play button opens the list of fights. In PvE, two cards side by side: on the left the Goleling King, free; on the right the weekly boss, paid, with its prize pool and the time left. In each one you pick the group size — Solo, Duo or Trio, with the number of players already waiting —, you see what you can win, and a single button starts the fight. The format you pick becomes the one on the home screen’s Play button, and each card’s “Ranking” link opens its ranking directly.
In a duo or trio, you join a queue and a panel shows who is waiting with you: the fight starts as soon as the group is full. Only players fill a group, never an AI.
The guided match isn’t in either: it starts from the tutorial, with the "?" button on the home screen.
The King and his court
The King hits hard and from afar; his minions, the Golelings, harass, strike, then flee. The King has 10,000 HP, solo or in a group; his minions’ hit points and numbers depend on the number of heroes.

| Heroes | King HP | Minion HP | Starting minions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | 10 000 | 250 | 2 |
| Duo | 10 000 | 350 | 2 |
| Trio | 10 000 | 450 | 2 |
| Single | AP | MP | Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| Goleling King | 10 | 3 | Boss |
| Goleling | 6 | 5 | Minion |
The King’s spells
| Spell | AP | Range | Per turn | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Royal Lightning | 5 | 2 – 8 | 2 | 110 to 140 ranged damage to a single target, in line of sight. Twice per turn, never twice the same one. |
| Court Blessing | 5 | self | 1 | When he has no one to hit: all his minions gain 2 MP, 60 armor and 20% damage. |

Two Lightnings per turn, never on the same target: in a group, each of you can take one. Staying in the open in front of the King is costly. But hiding has a price too — when he sees no one, he blesses his court, which becomes faster, sturdier and more dangerous. And with no hero in reach, he and his minions strike whatever they find: bombs, summons, banner.
The King never seeks contact: after striking, he backs away with his 3 MP, behind his minions. With so few MP, he doesn’t get far — a determined hero ends up pinning him against the edge of the map.
The Golelings’ spells
| Spell | AP | Range | Per turn | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Headbutt | 3 | 1 – 4 | 2 | 30 to 40 damage to a single target, up to 4 tiles, in line of sight. Never twice the same one in a turn. |
| Swap | 0 | the whole map | 1 | Swaps places with any other minion, anywhere on the map. Once per turn. |

A minion stranded at the far end of the map is never out of play: with Swap, it instantly takes the place of another minion already near you, then strikes right away. It also serves to pull a wounded minion to safety.
Protected, vulnerable, and the court’s return
- Protected — as long as at least one minion lives, the King takes no damage. A golden thread links him to each of them.
- Vulnerable — as soon as the last minion falls, the King is vulnerable for 2 turns. He stops attacking during those 2 turns: that’s your window to hurt him.
- The court’s return — at the start of his next turn, he calls back his minions, one more than the time before, within 4 tiles of him; he pushes every hero back 6 tiles, becomes protected again, and skips his turn.
- No reinforcements — a fallen minion doesn’t come back while the court still lives: only the court’s return brings minions back, never more than 8 at a time.

Each return makes the court bigger: the two vulnerable turns are the most precious of the fight. Save AP and your best spells for them.
The Throne Room
The King’s side, at the top, is open: few walls, so advancing there is risky. The heroes’ side, at the bottom, is covered: many walls and pillars let you hide from Royal Lightning. The King’s big health bar, split into sections, shows at the top of the screen in place of the timer, and each minion has its own card and a health bar above it.
How to beat him
- Play from cover — end your turns out of the King’s line of sight, behind a wall or a pillar.
- Kill minions fast, and together — a wounded minion flees and gets replaced through Swap: focus your damage to finish it in one turn.
- Set up the window — when only one minion is left, move closer to the King before taking it down: the two vulnerable turns go by fast.
- Beware the push — when the court returns, you are pushed back six tiles: a wall behind you beats a trap.
The boss of the week
Each week, one boss — currently the Goleling King — is the only one of its week. Its paid version has its own leaderboard and prize pool.
- The entry — 0.50 USDC per player and per fight, solo, duo or trio. It is only charged once the group is full, for all players at once, with the same capped authorisation as staked fights. If one of them cannot pay, nobody is charged.
- Solo — alone, the fight is extremely hard: you may not deal a single point of damage to the King. The game reminds you before you pay.
- The score — at the end of every fight, won or lost, the damage the whole team dealt to the King is split equally between its players and added to their weekly total. Only damage to the King counts, never damage to his minions. A player who controls or protects without hitting gets the same share as the others.
- A disconnection — an AI takes your place until you come back; the team’s damage counts as usual.
- The end of the week — Monday at 0:00 (UTC+2). No more paid fights of that week can start; those in progress play out and count.
The prize pool
All the week’s entries make up the prize pool, held on a Solana address specific to that week until the payout. It is shared among the top of the leaderboard: the top 30 % of participants, rounded up: the busier the week, the more winners. Each gets a share proportional to their damage: whoever played more takes a bigger share, never the whole pool.
The fee is taken from each player’s share at payout. Its rate is the average of the rates of your fights that week, weighted by your damage: 25%, minus the bonus of the skins you were wearing at the start of each fight. For example, 3,000 damage dealt with skins that bring the fee down to 15%, then 1,000 damage without skins at 25%: the week’s fee is 17.5%.
The payout is done by hand, after an anti-cheat check: an account that cheated is removed from the leaderboard before the split. Payments then arrive directly in the wallets.
The free ranking
The free boss has its own weekly ranking too, with the same scoring rules: damage to the King, shared equally within the group. At the end of the week, up to 50 Common Crystals (5 per winner) are shared by rank among the top 30 % of participants (25 winners at most), and land in your stock on their own. Only wallet-linked accounts take part, and an account blocked by the anti-cheat receives nothing.
| Participants | Paid (paid boss) | Rewarded (free) | Crystals at stake | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | Last |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 3 | 3 | 15 | 8 | 4 | 3 | 3 |
| 25 | 8 | 8 | 40 | 13 | 7 | 5 | 2 |
| 50 | 15 | 15 | 50 | 12 | 6 | 4 | 2 |
| 100 | 30 | 25 | 50 | 8 | 4 | 3 | 1 |
| 200 | 60 | 25 | 50 | 8 | 4 | 3 | 1 |
What the boss pays
The boss fight gives experience, like a fight against the AI, but no league points and no end-of-fight coins. When paid, it adds your damage to the weekly ranking and its prize pool.
And in every case, win or lose, the King’s loot: for every percent of his HP your team took off, each player receives 5 coins and a chance of winning a Common Crystal — 1.5% in the weekly boss, 0.3% in a free fight. In the weekly boss only, each percent also gives a 0.05% chance of winning a Legendary Crystal. A King brought down in the weekly boss thus yields 500 coins, one and a half Common Crystals on average, and a one-in-twenty chance of a Legendary Crystal. The Prismatic Crystal is won during events, in PvE as in PvP.
| Per % of HP taken off | Coins | Common Crystal | Legendary Crystal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free fight | 5 | 0,3 % | — |
| Weekly boss | 5 | 1,5 % | 0,05 % |
Frequently asked questions
Why do my hits do nothing to the Goleling King?
He is protected while any of his minions is alive. Bring down his whole court: he becomes vulnerable for two turns.
How long does a boss fight last?
Twelve turns at most. At the end, the King flies away and the fight ends; what counts is the damage dealt.
Can you face the boss with others?
Yes: solo, in pairs or in threes. The King keeps his 10,000 HP; his minions get tougher as the group grows. Groups form between players, in a queue, with no AI.
How does the boss of the week’s prize pool work?
Every paid entry, 0.50 USDC per player, goes into the week’s prize pool. At the end of the week, it is shared among the top 30 % of the ranking, in proportion to their damage to the King, minus each player’s fee.
Does the boss cost league points?
No. PvE never touches your rating: only ranked duels against players move it.
The game opens straight in the browser, with no account and no download.
