Dofus Kolossium: How It Works, Queues, Rating and Tips in 2026

The Kolossium is Dofus’s ranked arena. Here is how it works today, what has changed over the updates, how to climb in it, and an option for players who want the thrill of the arena without levelling a character.

“Koliseum”, “Kolizeum”, “Koli”: whatever spelling you type, it is the same place. The Kolossium is Dofus’s ranked PvP arena, where you face strangers for a rating, a league and rewards. It has changed a lot since its early days, and the guides you find online do not all describe the same version.

Here is how it works now, pieced together from the successive updates, followed by our tips for climbing.

How the Kolossium works today

Registering and getting called

You register from the Kolossium interface, which has its own tab in Dofus 3. The game then looks for opponents across all servers: the Kolossium has been cross-server since 2017. Meanwhile, you can keep playing. When a fight is found, every participant must accept it within a time limit; whoever declines cannot register again right away.

The queues

QueueFormatSinceWorth knowing
1v1One against one2017 (2.41)Long kept out of the leagues, considered hard to balance
2v2Two against twoDecember 2023 (2.70)Register alone or with a partner
3v3Three against threeThe beginningThe old “solo” and “team” queues merged in 2023

Since update 2.70, each format is also split into two brackets: levels 20 to 199 on one side, level 200 on the other. So a level 150 character does not face a level 200 one.

Rating and leagues

Each mode has its own rating, calculated with a Glicko-2-style system: beating a stronger player earns more, losing to a weaker one costs more. Since the December 2023 overhaul, the rating directly determines your league: the old “league points” are gone.

Leagues run from Bronze to Legend, through Silver, Gold, Platinum (formerly Crystal) and Diamond. Bronze, Silver and Gold are split into five divisions. The top three players of each queue appear on an in-game podium.

Rewards

  • Kolizetons for every win, exchangeable for PvP-related rewards. Since late 2023, every player in the same league tier receives the same number.
  • Ovatons, earned by completing season objectives, to unlock account-bound cosmetics.
  • Experience and kamas.

Forfeiting and inactivity

A Kolossium fight can be forfeited by unanimous team vote, from the third turn. Historically, forfeiting also cost you the reward of your next fight; the rule may have changed, so check it in-game.

What has changed, and why old guides mislead you

The Kolossium went through three major stages, and every guide online reflects one of them:

  1. 2017 (2.41): the arena becomes cross-server, 1v1 arrives, the minimum level drops from 50 to 20. 1v1 rewards are deliberately lower than 3v3 ones at that point.
  2. 2018 (2.48): leagues and seasons of about three months, five placement fights, but only in 3v3.
  3. December 2023 (2.70): a 2v2 queue, merged 3v3 queues, level brackets, leagues based on rating, season cosmetics, and an experience lock to stay in a level bracket.

So a guide that talks about separate “solo 3v3” and “team 3v3” queues, or a “Crystal” league, describes the Kolossium from before December 2023.

Our tips for climbing the Kolossium

Preparing your character

  • Gear built for PvP and for your bracket. A dungeon set is not an arena set: in PvP, resistance to AP and MP removal, and the ability to remove them, weigh heavily.
  • Pick your level bracket. Thanks to the experience lock, some players freeze a character in a bracket where they are well geared. It is a legitimate choice, and your opponents make it too.

During the fight

  • Starting placement often decides the first exchange. Starting behind an obstacle or out in the open changes everything.
  • Count your AP before moving, and keep enough to get out of trouble.
  • End your turn out of line of sight of ranged classes, away from walls you could be pushed into.
  • Remove before you hit. An opponent with no AP does not cast their big spell.

Around the fight

  • Know your class’s matchups. In 1v1 especially, some classes are nightmares for others. Our article on how to read a Dofus class tier list explains why rankings change so fast, and our guide to the best Dofus class for PvP sorts the classes by play style.
  • Play at busy hours: queues are faster and fights more balanced.
  • Review your losses. Every lost fight tells you something: a badly ended turn, a wasted spell, a forgotten line of sight.

What about Dofus Touch?

The mobile version has its own Kolossium, in 1v1 and 3v3. In 2025, Dofus Touch ran a season in which the top three level 200 players on each server in 3v3, and the top three of each class on each server in 1v1, received an exclusive mount. The detailed rules may differ from those of Dofus 3.

Solwaris: the arena, without a character to prepare

In Solwaris (not Dofus): two Arcanists trade spells from afar, each backed by a Flame elemental.

The Kolossium requires a levelled character, geared for its bracket, and sometimes a team. If it is the arena itself you enjoy, Solwaris offers a version stripped down to the essentials: a turn-based 1v1 tactical duel that opens in your browser, with no download; a free wallet is all you need to sign up. A kind of instant 1v1 Kolossium, in the sense that you are playing from the first minute.

  • No levels, no gear: two players of the same class have the same tools. No brackets, no gear to optimise.
  • 12 AP and 6 MP per turn, never carried over; line of sight, pushes into walls, AP and MP removal, invisible traps.
  • Leagues and an Elo rating per class, from Novice to Legend: you can learn a new class without wrecking your rating.
  • An initiative bid: before the first turn, the player who was not drawn can buy the initiative back with Waris earned by playing. Playing first becomes a choice.
  • Brisk fights: 40 seconds per turn at most, and no turn limit: you fight until there is a winner.

We should also say what Solwaris does not have: the depth of an MMORPG, a world, gear, nineteen classes. It has 6. And its community is small: at off-peak hours, you sometimes have to wait for a human opponent, and training against the AI lets you play in the meantime, without touching your rating.

The full rules, from line of sight to leagues, are in the Solwaris guide.

Frequently asked questions

How does the Kolossium work in Dofus?

You register from a dedicated interface, alone or with others, in a 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3 queue. The game looks for opponents across all servers, and everyone must accept the proposed fight. A win raises your rating for that mode and earns kolizetons.

From what level can you play the Kolossium?

From level 20, since update 2.41 in 2017. Since December 2023, levels 20 to 199 and level 200 have separate queues.

What are kolizetons for?

They are the tokens earned in the Kolossium. They can be exchanged for PvP-related rewards. Since late 2023, every player in the same league tier receives the same number.

Is there a Kolossium in Dofus Touch?

Yes. Dofus Touch offers the Kolossium in 1v1 and 3v3, with seasons in which the best players on each server receive rewards.
